Easy to Get Credit Cards
Let’s say you’re a student or a new immigrant or you just don’t have any credit to speak of. How do you get credit? It’s a dilemma that many of us have faced early on in our lives and it usually doesn’t have an easy solution. At least a solution that provides any unsecured credit.
We’ve all been there. We want a credit card to help us establish credit or help ease the monthly budget. Credit cards can help a young household balance the budget. Many times, early on in our careers, paycheck amounts are not consistent. We may get more money in one pay period than in another. Yet, our bills, such as rent, groceries, gasoline, etc., are consistent. After all, you can’t usually ask the grocery store to give you more groceries than you can pay for with a promise to come back later in the month and settle up. This is where an easy to get credit card can be beneficial.
Has this ever happened to you? After submitting a few online applications for credit cards you receive a call from a local financial institution that would like to offer you just what you’re looking for. They offer to send out a specialist or set an appointment for you at a local branch to get your account setup. It seems like someone upstairs heard your prayers! But, when you meet with this representative you find that the only option they have for you is a secured credit card. If you will deposit $1,000 into an account they will give you a credit card with a $1,000 limit. How can they even call this a credit card? If we had $1,000 cash we probably wouldn’t need the credit card to begin with!
While this can be frustrating it’s not always a bad thing. In fact, one of the ways to establish AAA credit is to have 3 lines of credit in excellent standing. Simply take $1,000 to three different banks and deposit it in exchange for a line of credit available on a credit card. We haven’t found a financial institution yet that wouldn’t take us up on this offer. It’s even a great way to continue credit repair and raise your credit score.
There are many lenders that have high-risk solutions for people in these situations. Some of these lenders include Capital one and Orchard Bank. They provide cards with lower limits that give you the credit you need with limited risk to the lender. Of course, these easy to get credit cards don’t come with the most attractive interest rates. However, when used wisely they can help you move to a better credit card solution with lower interest rates.
